A cloaked figure on a dark bluff looking out over a valley at sunset: harvest fields, an orchard, a timber hall with smoke rising, a mine cut into the hillside and a market of awnings below.

For land owners

Give your land something to do

Drop a region server onto your parcel and it joins a working economy — then stock it with the farms, stations and gatherables your realm needs. The rules, the recipes and the levelling are ours to maintain. No scripting on your part.

How it fits together

A kit of parts, and the rules that make it a game

The region server brings the system — the economy, the recipes, the levelling, the wear on a tool, your listing and your realm page. The stations, fields, resource nodes and animals are bought one at a time, so you put together the realm you are actually building and pay for nothing else.

The catalogue you choose from

44
Station types

Forges, ovens, looms, stills and the rest

30
Gatherables

Ore, timber, herbs and stone to place

32
Crops

Sown across 14 kinds of field, plot and vineyard

6,310
Recipes

664 shipped by us, the rest invented by players

And the catalogue is the floor, not the ceiling. Players invent recipes of their own on top of ours, and weapon smithing alone combines blades, hilts, grips, pommels, runes and enchants into more than 40,000 distinct weapons.

Everything above is priced individually in the shop — fields from L$100, gatherables from L$200, crafting stations from L$400. Members buy them at a standing discount.

Nothing to script, nothing to maintain

The recipes, the levelling, the tools, the wear on those tools and the economy underneath are all built and updated by us. You are placing objects, not writing LSL — and when the system ships a change, your land has it.

Buy the realm you are building

A fishing village never pays for a forge. Start with a handful of pieces, see what your visitors actually use, and add to it — every station works with every other one the day you rez it.

Your build, our rules

Every station takes your own mesh, so a forge on a pirate wharf and a forge in a frozen waste can look nothing alike and still smelt the same ore. That is why no two realms in the directory look related.

You decide how hard it is

Owners set the theme, the rules and the rhythm of their realm, and write the notes visitors read before they arrive. The same economy runs underneath all of it.

Footfall

Self-sufficient is possible. Most realms would rather trade.

Nothing stops a realm producing everything — if you buy the full set of stations and nodes, and have enough dedicated players to work them. Most owners specialise instead, in whatever their land is good at, and let the rest arrive with the people who came to trade for it.

  • Resource nodes, fields and animals are placed by owners — what a region offers is what its owner chose to put there.
  • Covering every profession means buying every station and finding the people to keep them busy. Few realms try.
  • Player vendors, market hubs and the Trading Post move goods between regions rather than spawning them.
  • Colonies — the households and factions players belong to — cut across regions, so people bring friends.

Your realm, your page

Somewhere to send people

Listing is a switch in your region server, not something we do to you. Turn it on and your realm joins the public directory with its picture, theme and description — and gets a page of its own that you write.

What the switch is worth

A listed realm gets a card in the directory and a page carrying its banner, description, rules, screenshots and a teleport link — which is also the card that renders when you post your realm in Discord or on the forum.

A region whose owner has not flipped it is invisible here by design. Running a server is not consent to be published, and plenty of these parcels are somebody’s home.

World Builder adds the large showcase slot at the top of the Realms page and on the front page, a standing discount on everything in the shop, and a monthly platinum allowance.

What it costs

No tier on top of your tier

The Region Server is L$2,000, bought once, in-world or from the shop. Stations and resources are priced individually on top of it, so the realm decides the bill. What there is none of: a per-player charge, a revenue share, or anything that has to renew to keep your land working.

New to SL Colonies entirely? Start your journey walks through the HUD, the meter and your first profession — it is free to play, and worth doing before you build for other people.
