Nothing leaves Second Life
No card, no third party, no account with anybody else. You pay our bot in L$ from the avatar you are signed in as, and your standing applies about a minute later.
There is also nothing to cancel. Second Life cannot charge anyone on a schedule, so a membership runs for the time you bought and then stops — we message you in-world before it does.

Paid in L$ in-world — nothing leaves Second Life, and there is no card to enter. Platinum can also be bought directly at L$10 each, by Citizens and World Builders.

The currency that buys what coins cannot
Storage is what platinum buys. Chests and the warehouse are sold for it and nothing else, so they cannot be bought around — members receive platinum every month, and can buy more at L$10 each.

Platinum is sold to Citizens and World Builders only — it is what membership is for, rather than something to buy around it.
How paying works
Choose here, pay in-world

Pick a tier and how long you want it for. We tell you the amount and message it to you in-world.

Pay our bot that amount in Second Life, from the avatar you are signed in as.

Your membership applies automatically, usually within a minute. Pay less than the price and we hold it until you send the rest; pay more and the difference comes back.
Second Life has no way for anyone to charge on a schedule, so a membership never renews itself. We message you in-world before it runs out, entitlements keep working for 3 days after — and a World Builder’s discount grows the longer it stays unbroken.
Before you buy
The questions everybody asks
- What happens when it runs out?
- Your entitlements keep working for 3 days, then stop. Nothing you bought with platinum or coins is taken away — standing lapses, possessions do not.
- Can I move up a tier partway through?
- Yes. Buy the higher tier and it replaces what you have; we hold anything already paid against it rather than starting you over.
- Does platinum expire?
- No. Platinum you have been given or bought stays on your account whether your membership is live or not.
- Do I need a membership to play?
- No. Settler is free with a verified avatar and the group in-world, and nothing in the game is locked behind a tier — membership buys standing, platinum and a discount, not access.

Settler is free and always will be. Citizen buys platinum and a title. World Builder is for the people outfitting a region, and its discount grows the longer you hold it.
