Right-click and Pay for Lindens, exactly as with any other tip jar. A short left-click offers your roleplay currencies instead, tells the visitor their balance, and asks how much they would like to give. It names whoever tipped last and thanks them.
The permission box on rez asks to take money from your Linden account. It is not going to — that permission is what lets the object receive payments on your behalf, and every scripted tip jar in Second Life asks for it.
Lindens and coin are counted one for one. There is no exchange rate, because SLC coin has no real-money value and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Open the settings script to rewrite the welcome line, the thank-you line and the hover text — swap "supports the owner" for your tavern, your sim or your build fund. Fully modifiable: an invisible box wraps the chest, so put it around any mesh you like.
