Watch it work

The product tutorial, start to finish.

Read it written up on the forum — the same walkthrough, with the numbers, and somewhere to ask.

The market offers you around 0.75x an item's value and sells it on at around 2x. Everything between those two numbers is yours.

Take an item the market values at 1,000 coin. It offers you 750 and sells to other players for 2,000. Put it in your vendor at 1,500 and you have undercut the market by 500 — while buying from players at 1,200 and paying them far more than the market ever would. You profit on both sides and your customers are better off on both sides.

A single vendor holds one kind of item in any quantity. Deposit coin for a float, deposit stock from your HUD — never into its Contents, because everything here is a database item rather than a prim — then set the buy and sell prices. Decimals are allowed, and round up.

Set any coin type and it becomes a bureau de change between two regions' currencies. Stretch it over your own mesh and set it transparent, or link it — as the master prim.

The game database has no recipes mapped to this station yet, so there is nothing to list here automatically.

System recipes only. Recipes invented by players at open stations belong to the colonists who created them and are not listed.
