The lemon tree is a gatherable you plant on your own land, and it is a little tree — the small one of the family, easy to tuck into a garden. It stands with eight lemons on it, and picking one takes that fruit off the branch until it grows back within the hour. The tree itself never disappears, so an orchard stays an orchard.
All you need to work it is a small basket. Every pick spends one point of the basket's durability and hands you exactly one lemon — there is no chance of taking two at once, and no rare drop hiding in it.
A lemon is proper survival food. Eat one raw where you stand for health, a little energy, and relief from both hunger and thirst at the same time. Or carry a basket of them to a cooking station: recipes in SL Colonies are yours to invent, so what lemons become is up to you.
If you own the object, a long left click — hold and release — opens the owner menu, where you set a spawn point exactly as you would on any other gatherable.
