Every other field in SL Colonies trains Farmer. The vineyard trains Brewer, which puts it on the same ladder as the wine press, the mash tun, the fermentor and the barrels.
It is worked with a hoe rather than a plough — 25 energy instead of 50, and you can walk about while you do it. Seed it, water it, leave it seven days while the vines climb the trellis, then pick it with a small basket. No sickle: harvesting spends one point of the basket's durability instead of consuming it. 10 harvests per cycle, 15 metre working range.
Plant grape, red grape, white grape or hop. Grapes are food as they stand and the front of the drink chain — press them to juice, ferment the juice, age it in barrels, bottle it. Hops go the same way for beer.
