The Distillery does one thing to a drink, and it is brutally simple: it doubles the alcohol and halves the volume. A hundred units in, fifty units out, at twice the strength. Two hours a cycle.
It takes any drink in the game that contains alcohol — brewed here, or a cocktail mixed at the cooking station with liquor in it. You need a hundred units of it to start.
You must be a brewer of level 5. Nothing below that can touch it, and unlike most stations there is no level-0 courtesy for other professions.
You choose how many cycles to run, up to six, and the arithmetic decides what you are allowed. A 36% drink doubles to 72%, and a second cycle would take it past 100% — so the station refuses to let you name it and hands back ethanol instead. Ethanol is not a strong drink. It is an instant death, and it is the intended way to make one.
Each cycle count is its own product, so the same base drink distilled once and twice are two recipes with two names.
The still is fully modifiable and can be relinked to your own mesh around its master prim. It has its own sounds — a fire that burns while it runs, and a chime when the run is done — both replaceable, and the usual public, group, colony or owner-only security.
