Hurricane Cove
An SL Colonies Region
Hurricane Cove is home to a collection of pirates, castaways, natives and rogues, set somewhere in the 18th century. All are trying to find a means of survival, some at the expense of others.
This is generally hindered by the presence of alchemists, necromancers, dragons and orcs.
The more civilized inhabitants have set up a dock, and further inland, a charming country village where some of them live. There are also many jungle villages. There is a thriving market, and many workshops where the artisans toil to provide necessary equipment. A fertile valley provides the colony with food. There are extensive hunting grounds, some in the snowy north. A vast network of caves contains much ore of various types.
The land has many taverns, dance venues, a large dining room for dinner parties, even a secret society. Events are regularly planned.
Rules & Guidelines
We don’t have too many rules, after all we are pirates, rogues and vagabonds, however:
- We are an adult sim…….so no underage avatars please.
- Nudity is allowed
- Please respect private homes in the village, and fields on the farm. Unless for roleplay purposes.
- Roleplay is encouraged but not essential.
Resources
Most resources and crafting stations are free for public use.
Fields and farm animals are privately owned.
Visitor Access
Most of the sim is open, but houses in the village are private homes.
Other Information
Hurricane Cove has been in existence for some years now. We moved to our present location in August 2023. It is owned by Demades and Poppy. Partnered in Second Life but with an open relationship, and married in Real Life.
We have a full range of SLC equipment and resources. Some has to be searched for, we like our sim realistic. We have a thriving market and encourage trade. We welcome new people to our colony, and do our best to accommodate their needs.
